When you feel the need to add a laugh track, it is a sure sign that you have no confidence in your ability to amuse, and, in this instance, rightly so.
While I agree with your assessment of laughtrack use, in general, I feel must reiterate that these guys are frickin' geniuses.
Yes, the jokes are inconsistent.
But lookit Ridgeley- he's doing John Wayne as a Steve Austin parody!
And the great subversive point of the show is that it's supposed to be a bad kid's show.
So one could, based on the premise of the show, allow a laugh track to be used, and even add to the fun of the show.
And I figured all of this out at age 10, man. ;>
