2. Paul Giamatti wins! Hurray! Nice president joke. His wife gets humiliated, by an over-active director... hey, he won an Emmy for direction of live television folks! Irony, much?
3. Candy Bergen- Good joke. Lead Actor in A Comedy...
4. Alec Baldwin wins! The missus will be so pleased. And let's face it, the guy is frickin' funny. Tony Shaloub has finally stopped winning! Hey, I like "Monk", but still... Tina Fey is Elaine May??? Ummm, she's funny, but... wake me when she writes the "A New Leaf" of her generation, Alec.
5. America Ferrara and Vanessa Williams. The show is running so long, they've cut her mike AND her bit. Best Actress in A Drama...
6. Glenn Close wins! Big shout out for the basic cable over-forty ("Mature", I believe is what she said) ladies! She's cut short, but carries through. Probably because of the really funny guys who should've been hosts this year.
7. In Memoriam. As usual it's the Pleshettes and the Nettlesons of the group who get me the most. We will not see their like again.
