I know, I know... With Pollack, "Laugh-In"'s Dick Martin and now composer Earle Hagen, it's been the "celebrity 3"...

... but still I'd like to honor Hagen if only to post some of my favorite TV themes he composed. In this first, we see the opening credits of "I Spy" one of the great spy themes- movie or television- I've ever heard. This episode - So Long, Patrick Henry- was written by star Robert Culp, directed by Sean Penn's father Leo and guest stars the late Ivan Dixon (who you can read more about here http://youknowtheface.blogspot.com/2008/03/and-name-is-ivan-dixon.html).

Enjoy!
