Okay Seriously, This May Be The Most Important Film... Of The Year

This is the new film by the makers of "Shaun Of The Dead" and the BBC comedy "Spaced". You can access the trailer by clicking on the poster or the word this.
In Other News...
-Future Jones is now almost-walking. He can clap (thanks to Mrs.J) and kind of says Dada and Mama. Mostly he just makes exagerated (sp.?) expressions that make his parents laugh and clap themselves...
Because, in the end, he's here to entertain us.
Currently watching/listening/reading...
-"Extras" Season 2. (Insert "They had me at..." reference here). This show is a worthy follow-up to Gervais' original BBC "The Office" and as well as the British answer (not that America ever asked a question) to "Why can't we see more clever showbiz trainwreck sitcoms like 'The Comeback', 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' and 'The Larry Sanders Show'?"
-"Captain Blood" Radio Dramatization By Colonial Radio Theatre. As overbearing as the narrator can be in this (and by "overbearing", I mean you can feel him narrating two hours after turning the cd off... narrating in your soul), it is a great listen in your car for commutes. And ladies, the guy who plays Blood begins to sound like Colin Firth after a while. Just enough.
-"The Spellman Files" by Lisa Lutz. Yes, employment at B&N has its privileges as I get to read Advanced readers Copies of books not out yet. This combination of "Veronica Mars" and "You Can't Take It With You" is about a slacker in her late twenties who happens to be very good at being a private investigator, but terrible at having a life. Complicating this is her family, who run the investigation firm she works at, and their need to run checks and surveillance on her dates. It's a lot better than my corporate synopsis of it. Optioned by Laura (producing this year's Oscars) Ziskin. Selma Blair, call your agent!
Whenever I mention Selma Blair, it's time to log off. And how are you this week?

Wow! Thanks for reading about me listening!! For my long-time readers (all 2 of you) who are not aware, Mr. Robbins is not only the guy who directed the show and adapted the book... he also is Captain Peter Blood, as well!

Now if only they would do (hint, hint) "Scaramouche"!

I gave Captain Blood a listen after finding it in Borders...loved it! It made the commute fly by, OK, it made the commute bearable. Thanks for the introduction to it.

You're welcome! Wow, if only I had known about all of the radio theatre webizens out there, I would've included my scintillating reviews of Radio Spirits Dashiell Hammet collection and the Espionage collection from Nostalgia Inc.!

Maybe after I review the final Columbo collection from the initial run of shows in the seventies... and my son starts walking f'reals instead of the cruising aorund he does right now.

Priorities.
