Gone Baby, Gone!

Comic fiend Kevin Kataoka sent this to me, because he knows my favorite film is "It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World". I leave it for you to look at for the next week, because my gorgeous and talented (or "g-alented") wife Mary and I are going to Maine to visit her mother and participate in her families reunion. We try to get away for a week at least once a year and being Maine in the summer time is one of the best get aways we've found.

For instance, there are all those towns that journalist Stephen King has written about in his non-fiction books about the supernatural goings on in the northeast. Traveling through scenic Derry, Castle Rock, and Jerusalem's Lot, always during the day, gives us lots of stories for any future Joneses that we may have. Just travel during the day. That's really important.

When I get back, I'll be doing a piece on the William Powell tribute day on TCM, as well as more about my top five favorite films, and our annual "How Mary and I met on the birthday we both share" story, always a fun story for the kids.

See you next week!

I read an interview of Joe Strummer before he died and he said that "It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" was his favorite movie as well. Another reason to love Joe Strummer.

I am so jealous of your creepy King tour...! Please try not to run him off the side of the road!

All that time there and we never ran into him...

...maybe I need to rephrase that.
