Been Stuck At The Office Lately...

Between working at *$'s (that's right, I work at "AsteriskDollarSign's") and trying to help my mom, it has been hard to blog. It has been hard to want to blog, I should say.

Summing up the past week or so...

Mom/Mom's dogs fine. Mom still employed. House still standing, but irreperably (sp.?) water-damaged. Still no sign of old cat left behind. Photos, furniture, appliances destroyed.

Bush still in office.

Fine films viewed...

"Ride The High Country"

"The Life And Death Of Colonel Blimp"

"Broken Flowers"

Great CD's listened to...

Rhino's double CD version of Randy Newman's "Good Old Boys"

Louis Prima and Keely Smith Live At The Sahara (Las Vegas Centennial Collection)

Please Give to Habitats For Humanity.

Please Give Aid To The Homeless/Jobless Victims of this terrible catastrophe.

finally...

Wife and future child are healthy, happy and away in Seattle for five days, leaving me a little sad, but grateful we have jobs, a home and each other.

Write if you get someone work.

Oh, Louis Prima was da king! I think we have every cd of his (and Keelys) except the one you mentioned.

"Banana split for my baby...and a glass of plain water for me...."

MB- The one I'm talking about is a new collection from Capitol in honor of Vegas' 100th year of ripping off seniors' savings.

Or something along those lines. It was released this year and you can probably find it on Amazon. I highly recommend it.
