Garden State 2: The Empire State Strikes Back

Above snarky comment aside, I just watched the trailer for this film here. It's about seven minutes long, but it's worth it (like most things I recommend, it made me cry at some point. "But, didn't you recommend 'Batman Begins'?" you query... "And you're point is?" I retort defensively) Of course, you'll have to go to the Ain't It Cool News site to download it, and you'll need Quicktime and about five minutes to wait for it to download. If you're still unsure, you can read more about it here.

I know it seems like a lot of work, but I've begun to recognize a certain, shall we say, "easily distracted quality" in my dear readers, so I think the effort won't be so much.

And Cameron Crowe directed "Say Anything", which still continues to rock.

Him: beard employer.
Her: baby teeth.

Sorry. I just don't have anything nice to say about these two today.

Okay, I liked her in that spotless mind movie and THE VIRGIN SUICIDES, and he was nice on the set of PIRATES, but that's IT, buddy...!

It's 'Garden State' meets 'The Station Agent' with the moxey of 'The Big Lebowski' and the grown-up sensibilities of 'Say Anything'.

PLUS it's got Paula Dean in it, who can cook me grits anytime!

'Say Anything'...oooh, John Cusack, could that get ANY yummier? "I gave her my heart, she gave me a pen."

P- You are sooo critical. And yet, I know it was all said with a kind, loving heart.

I think.

M- Calling Cusack "yummy"? Who do you think you are, Holly Golightly? Quelle complements!
